Simulation Laboratory (in following referenced as “SL”) is the open source effort to create high fidelity flight simulation platform for building combat simulations upon. It is a toolset containing configurable elements for building single missions or complex scenarios, modern electronic warfare environments or historical campaigns. Greatest possible degree of flexibility has been anchored in the application design as well as in the fundamental technologies chosen for implementation.

SimuLab is a simulation platform or toolset open for experiments and analysis. It enters some new areas never presented in simulators before:

Experimental nature:

Simulab enables you to experiment with vehicle configurations, performance data, avionic suites, cockpit layouts, artificial logic and weapon guidance logic. In SL you will be able to develop new vehicle configurations and test them in the simulated combat environment for suitability and efficiency. Here you can exchange engines on F-15 fighter giving it F-22A engines for example. With some programming skills you will be able to develop new radar modes or guidance logic for missiles, alter AI routines or influence high level strategic decision factors in campaign. The experimental nature is consequent through entire application and also apparent in the GUI. Not only you can re-skin or totally repaint it, you can add your own features, start any module of the core program and manipulate it. With some XML/JS skills in your bag you can add virtually any feature based on JavaScript or Java language without recompiling the main program.
